Delete your account
You can ask us to delete your MilkTrust account and the personal data linked to it at any time.
How to ask
Send an email to support@milktrust.com with the subject Delete my MilkTrust account, and include:
- the phone number you sign in with
- the name of your milk collection centre
Farmers can also ask their centre, which will pass the request on. Before deleting anything we confirm the request with you on that phone number, so that no one else can delete your account.
What we delete
- Farmers and centre staff: your sign-in account and your phone number
- A centre owner closing a centre: all of the centre's records, including every farmer's
We finish within 30 days of confirming the request. Backups that still hold the data are deleted automatically within a further 35 days.
What we keep, and why
A centre has to keep the milk and payment records it has already settled with each farmer, because those are its accounts. When a farmer's account is deleted, these records and the farmer's name stay in the centre's register without the phone number, and the farmer can no longer sign in. The centre can remove the farmer from its register as well. We also keep a centre's subscription invoices for as long as Indian tax law requires.
